Jesus is the Bridge

#27 As I was born in Scotland I love to return for a visit, and I really like the Forth Road Bridge and the Tay Bridge…perhaps because bridges aren’t a regular part of my driving experience at home. This photo (not shot illegally!) made me think of a worship song (These are the days of Elijah) which has the chorus “Behold he comes, riding on a cloud…”. I think we can all get so wrapped up with the pressures of life that we forget what the purpose of life is. Purpose can be short term, medium term and long term and #morningprayer this morning reminded me of the long term purpose: Jesus, the beginning and the end (much like a bridge between us and God perhaps) will come again: “Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, … ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega’, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” #rev1
