Dr Who

#161 Today was the first day back at theological college and I am straight into a week-long course on #deathdyingandbereavement. This evening I found myself watching one of the #doctorwho Christmas specials…the one where the eleventh doctor ages because he cannot regenerate, but then he is given another chance, another regeneration. This regeneration still brings pain, suffering and grief though, as he becomes a different person, someone that his accomplice does not know. This has prompted so many questions in my mind…would you regenerate instead of die if you had the chance? Would it stop the pain of death and bereavement for those around you? Would you find it painful as your loved ones passed away and left you alone? Would there come a point when you would still choose death? Why or why not? (at Ripon College Cuddesdon)
