Temptation to take off

#240 #maundythursday remembers the #lastsupper Jesus shared with his disciples before being #betrayed and #arrested. After supper and before he was betrayed he took himself to #gethsemane to pray…“Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; yet, not my will but yours be done.” #luke22v42 How much must he have wanted to escape, to get away? That urge to run is perhaps worse when you know what is going to happen, when your stomach is in knots, or you cannot breath at all because of such apprehension. And yet he resisted the temptation to take off, to find a way out, and he faced the awfulness of what was to come. That is #godsstory that is #godslove
