Experience drawing humanity together

#500 #day5 of #japantravels involved a trip to #arashiyamailluminations which were just lovely, especially through the #bambooforest. What was striking was the number of people in each of these special places, wanting to document their presence with a perfect photo…wanting to have an amazing experience. This photo doesn’t show the crowds of people around with their cameras on #tripods, nor the old man who dropped and smashed his camera lens. The sympathy for him was obvious, but which loss that was about was more difficult to discern: the lens or the ability to be part of the shared experience of getting the perfect photo….
